We didn’t set out to just sell baked goods - we wanted to share a feeling. As Germans living abroad, we missed the warm, soft pretzels from the local bakery, the ones that are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and made with love.
When we realized that people here mostly knew the hard, salty snack variety, we knew we had to step in. Our goal is simple: bringing a piece of authentic German heritage to the other side of the world, one pretzel at a time. We want to bring people together, spark conversations, and turn every bite into a wee celebration. From supplying local cafes to launching our own online shop - we are dedicated to twisting this tradition while staying true to our roots.

From a Craving to a Food Truck Revolution
Our story began in 2021 in the Australian tropics. Two travellers, missing home, started baking pretzels for friends. The reaction was instant: “YUM! You should make a business out of this!” And so, Pretzelation was born.
Within a year, we were selling out at markets and supplying Oktoberfests across the region.
But not long after adventure called again, we packed up our ovens and moved to New Zealand, determined to keep the dream alive. What started as a small stall at local markets quickly grew.
We fitted out a food truck to our requirements and began touring festivals with the unique yellow trailer. Today, we are around Southland & Otago, supply local cafes, deliver to your door, and continue to chase the next big adventure.
